Once upon a time there was a beetle who loved to tell everyone how fast he could run. “I am the fastest insect in the park,” he would say. His slow and steady friend the snail, tired of hearing him brag, challenged him to a race. “Ha,” the beetle thought to himself, “there is no way a snail could ever win against me.” On the day of the race, all of the insects in the park gathered to watch. The centipede waved a checkered flag to start the race. The beetle zoomed past the starting line as fast as he could, while the snail carefully inched herself forward bit by bit. The beetle cried out “You will never win this race at that slow, slow pace.” Out of breath from running, the beetle eventually reached a small pond of water. He thought, “I have plenty of time. I just will go around the pond.” The beetle sped off on his way. Inch by inch the snail crawled along the path. As she reached the pond, she thought, “It would be much shorter if I could somehow float across the water.” Perhaps I could build a boat. The snail gathered up some leaves, twigs and vine. She fashioned a small boat that helped her glide smoothly across the water of the pond. When she got to the other side, she hopped off the boat and could see all of her friends waiting for her at the finish line. Little by little the snail crept along the path until she crossed the finish line at long last. All of her friends cheered. “Hooray for snail!” they cried. A moment later the beetle came running across the finish line. “I can’t believe you beat me!” he said. “You know,” the snail replied with a smile, “being the fastest isn’t always everything”. “Sometimes if you just slow down for a moment and think about your challenge, you can come up with great solutions.”

Little Fox begins down the walk, where he finds some acorns. "Hmm, maybe I can make some acorn soup!" He collects ten acorns and puts them in his wagon. Little Fox stops at Rabbit's house. Rabbit is getting ready for the long cold as well. Rabbit is harvesting and stacking many carrots. Little Fox thinks, " Maybe some carrots would be good in my soup." Little Fox gives Rabbit two acorns for one carrot. Little Fox heads on down the walk by Hedghog's hole. Hedgehog is busy collecting moss for his bed and twigs for his door. Little Fox helps Hedgehog gather his supplies. Hedgehog gives Little Fox 2 bundles of twigs for three acorns. Little Fox continues down the walk to find more things for the long cold. Little fox came upon Turtle fishing in the pond. " Wow, some fish would be tasty in my soup!" he exclaimed. Turtle gives Little Fox 3 small fish for 4 of his acorns. Little Fox continues down the walk to find more things for the long cold. Little Fox finds Porcupine stuck under a log. Little Fox lifts the log and helps Porcupine to get free. Porcupine gives little fox a quill for his help! Satisfied with his adventurous walk, Little Fox begins to head home. Little Fox's wagon is a little heavier than when he started. He pulls his wagon around Turtle's pond, over Hedgehog's hole, passes Rabbit's house, and finally reaches his den. Little Fox is tired from his work today, but he's not finished yet. Little Fox takes everything inside. He looks at his findings for the long cold and is happy. He has an acorn, crunchy carrots, and tasty fish for his soup! He has plenty of twigs to keep his fire warm and toasty and a new quill to knit a new tie and cap! Little Fox finishes eating his soup and climbs into bed for a well-deserved good night's rest. The End.

As he reached the edge of Puffyville, Fluffalump waved goodbye to his friends. “I’ll miss you all! But I’ll be back with wonderful stories!” They cheered him on, encouraging him to follow his dreams. With a whoosh, Fluffalump soared into the sky. He traveled over mountains and rivers, reaching a new land filled with colorful creatures. There, he met a little creature named Wiggly, who looked sad. “What’s wrong?” Fluffalump asked. “I’ve lost my smile,” Wiggly sighed. Fluffalump immediately sprinkled sparkles around him and conjured a beautiful rainbow. Wiggly’s frown melted away, and soon they were laughing and dancing together. Just then, dark clouds rolled in, blocking the sun! Fluffalump quickly puffed himself up to create a fluffy shield, turning raindrops into sparkling glitter. The creatures danced in the glitter rain, laughter filling the air. After a day of joy and friendship, Fluffalump knew it was time to return home. “I promise to come back and spread more happiness!” he told Wiggly. As Fluffalump floated back to Puffyville, he realized that happiness grows when shared. And so, his magical adventure was just the beginning!

It’s what you use when you are awake and thinking about things. But there is another part of the castle that works quietly in the background, even when you’re not thinking about it. This part is called the subconscious. It’s like a magical room where all your dreams, memories, and feelings are stored. Your subconscious helps you remember how to ride a bike, how to tie your shoes, and even helps you feel happy or calm. It listens to everything you think and feel, even if you don’t say it out loud. If you think happy thoughts and believe in good things, your subconscious helps make those things happen. Just like happy thoughts bring good things, sad or angry thoughts can bring not-so-good things. If you keep thinking, “I can’t do this,” or “This is too hard,” you might feel upset and not try your best. Holly thinks its important to focus on the good and stay positive. Alex took a big bite of the apple, and it was delicious! He thanked Annie for her help and decided to learn to swim, so he wouldn't have to rely on others in the future. Alex and Annie became the best of friends, and they had many more exciting adventures together, both on land and in the water.
